WISP Dance Club to Present Inclusive Performance 'Ni'n Dawnsio Hefyd / We Dance Too' at Theatr Clwyd

WISP Dance Club will stage the inclusive dance show 'Ni'n Dawnsio Hefyd / We Dance Too' at Theatr Clwyd on 6 and 7 November 2026, featuring BSL and audio description support.

WISP Dance Club is set to present its inclusive dance performance, 'Ni'n Dawnsio Hefyd / We Dance Too', at Theatr Clwyd on Friday 6 November and Saturday 7 November 2026. The show will be accessible to a wide audience, with British Sign Language (BSL) interpretation and audio description available.

On 6 November, schools have been invited to attend a morning matinee, providing young audiences with the opportunity to experience the performance. A public performance will take place on 7 November at 2pm.

The production is supported by several organisations, including The Police and Crime Commissioner for North Wales, North Wales Police and North Wales Police and Community Trust, the Arts Council of Wales, and players of The National Lottery.

The show will feature new choreography by Karina, who has created works for both outdoor festivals and indoor venues. Her latest piece is set to conclude the performance with a dynamic finale.

Uma O’Neill, Chief Executive Officer and Artistic Director of WISP Dance Club, noted that this is the second time 'Ni'n Dawnsio Hefyd / We Dance Too' will be performed in North Wales, following a sold-out run in Bangor the previous year.

The company sees this event as an important step ahead of their inaugural full performance planned for March 2027. The inclusive nature of the show and its accessibility features reflect WISP Dance Club’s commitment to making dance more welcoming to audiences of all abilities.

Why it matters

'Ni'n Dawnsio Hefyd / We Dance Too' exemplifies inclusive arts practice by integrating accessibility supports such as BSL and audio description. The performance’s return to North Wales and backing from prominent local organisations highlight ongoing efforts to promote diversity and inclusion in the cultural sector. For audiences, especially young people attending the matinee, it offers a rare opportunity to engage with dance in an accessible and welcoming environment.
